Joy Douthwaite (formerly Joy Rodman) has been a Home Inspector with Thomas Building Consulting Corp since 2005. Joy is Thomas Building Consulting Corp's first time home buyer specialist. Buying your first home is an important event, and the process can be very stressful. Many home buyers worry that they will leave the inspection feeling even more stressed than they were beforehand. It is Joy's goal to see that you fully understand the findings of your home inspection, allowing you to feel confident that you are making informed decisions through the home buying process.
Joy is an innovator in this industry. She utilizes a top of the line inspection software system which she has customized in order to provide a report which contains far more information specific to your future home than is possible with the traditional check box paper report. Your report will contain information necessary for the home buying process, as well as instruction on how to maintain your future home. Your report can be emailed directly to you and anyone else at your request, preserving the quality of high resolution digital photos. A color copy of the report is also printed on site and reviewed page by page.

• All roofs are inspected by walking on unless it is unsafe, including two story roofs. Roofs that are not safe to walk on are generally inspected at the edge of the roof with a 17 or 28 foot ladder.*
